Bethel University Scholarship

Jun 29, 2015
USA BASSIN is proud to award this year’s Bethel University Scholarship to Reed Robinson.

Bethel University was the first collegiate program to award scholarships to bass fishing. According to team coach Gary Mason, the school's commitment to making fishing a priority is paying off. "We started doing this in 2009 and we have continued to attract the best of the best of young bass anglers. Partnering with organizations like USA Bassin is really helping to get the word out and we have seen an increase in popularity for our program," said Mason.

This year's scholarship winner is Reed Robinson. Reed started fishing USA BASSIN tournaments with his dad at age 12. During his USA BASSIN career, he has fished 67 Tournaments and won eight of them. They have also finished in the Top 10 a total of eight times. His success with USA Bassin was rewarded with a total scholarship of $20,000, which gives him $5,000 off of his tuition each year over their four years of enrollment at Bethel. He will also be eligible to fish on the Bethel University Fishing Team.

The Bethel University Scholarship is awarded each year to one of our anglers that as achieved a 2.50 GPA in high school and shown a love for the sport of bass fishing.

Congrats Reed!
