Bridges and Prince take the win

The Missouri State Regional was held on Truman Lake on September 6th and 7th. Many of the top finishers professed that the fishing was not as good as it normally is on Truman and as a result, the weights were lower than normal. Just under 40 boats took to the lake and the team of Bridges and Price came out ahead.

Chris Bridges and Steve Prince weighed 13.22 on Day 1 and 11.00 on Day 2 for a two day total of 24.22lbs.

Second place was the team of Ronnie Dobbs and Troy Eakins who weighed in a two day total of 23.62lbs. The team relied on the legendary Eakins Jigs that are made by Troy Eakins. They flipped these round head jigs in a brown pattern into shallo cover. "We caught them all day but it was pretty slow, one here and one there. We had five keepers on the first day and seven on Day 2," said Dobbs.

Third Place was the father/son duo of Travis and Ricky Clemen with 21.78lbs for two days. Ricky Clemen explained that Day 1 was much better as they caught multiple fish. On Day 2 it was much slower, "We caught some in the morning but it died after around 10:00. It was a very nice day with the bluebird skies, but the fishing wasn't very good for us," said Clemen. They fished a KVD 1.5 Squarebill in the Sexy Shad color in water that was between 1-2 feet on a flat. The team is sponsored by Nitro boats, Mercury Outboards, Bass Pro Shops, Pink Fishing and Craw-Cane fish attractant.

Congrats to all of the top finishers! U.S.A. Bassin would like to thank all of the teams for competing in the Missouri State Regional.
