Monroe Lake Regional

York and Stogsdill take the win.

The Monroe Lake Regional was held on September 18th out of Cutright Ramp. Taking the victory was the team of Shaun York and Brad Stogsdill with a limit weighing 17.76.

While they got the job done, it wasn't easy for them after a very slow start to the day. "We didn't have a fish at noon," said Stogsdill. "Then, we went on a little spree and caught six fish by 1:30. Our last cull during that time was replacing a 14-incher with our big bass, the 6.53lb fish."

After that turnaround, they had one more small fish to cull and did it in the last few minutes of fishing. "We were way up the creek so it took a lot of time to get back," he said. "We culled another small one with a 3-pounder."

The team flipped and pitched wood all day, but believe the fish finally moved up midday and allowed them to be caught. "We were seeing suspended fish all morning and then they must have moved up to the wood because we were doing the same thing all morning," he said.
