John Warren and Eric Johnson take first in a close one!

The Lucas Oil Tournament of Champions is always a popular tournament that all USA Bassin anglers try to qualify for. It features a guaranteed first place prize of $10,000!

This year's event was held on November 11th on Lake Chickamauga. Taking the $10k first place prize was the team of John Warren and Eric Johnson with a limit weighing 16.34lbs.

The event was one of the closest in recent memory according to Kevin Yeary, USA Bassin CEO and Founder. It came down to hundredths!

The winning team had 16.34lbs, followed by Kyle Humerickhouse and Kyle Leposky with 16.32lbs. Just .01 behind them was Billy Briere and Dan Yeager!

The winning team reported catching seven keepers throughout the day and added that most of their fish came on topwaters.

"It was a slow grind," sad Warren. "We caught the majority of our fish on Spooks, but caught one key fish on a frog."
