News

Brush Creek,div. IN-53 2020 season news

Tournament for 5-30 will be held at Brush Creek.

Make up date for cancelled tournament is 6-20 on Brush Creek.

Brush creek is to low to launch a boat do to work at dam.

We will only be taken 12 boats.

As of yesterday, President Trump issued new coronavirus guidance, striking a more urgent tone about the outbreak. He asked the public to avoid restaurants, bars, and groups larger than 10 people for at least 15 days, and to avoid groups larger than 50 people for the next 8 weeks. The President warned the fight could stretch into August. I want to again stress that USA BASSIN wants to be a proactive partner with the local and national health authorities. Here are some guide lines to go by until this pandemic is over.
I know some ramps have been closed. Please check with the facility that operates your ramp to make sure it’s still open for you to use.
1. If your Ramp is closed.
a. Please post it on your web page (In the news section)
b. Please edit your tournament schedule. Change the “ramp” to “cancelled due to virus”
c. Please let me know that you had to cancel your tournament.
d. Hopefully we can make these tournaments up??
2. If your Ramp is still open Please post on your “News Section” the following
a. That the tournament is still open
b. Morning Registration
i. Please only one person from each team to come to the morning registration 1. Directors wear gloves when handling the money.
c. Weigh-in
i. Tell your anglers, only one person brings the fish to the weigh-in.
ii. Tell your anglers, if they see more than 5 anglers in line to keep their fish in the live well until there is less than 5 people in line
iii. Tell your anglers to stay a minimum of 3 feet apart.
iv. Tell your anglers after you have weighed-in to go back to their boats or vehicles
and hang out there.
1. Don’t let them hang around the weigh-in station.
v. Tell your anglers if they don’t have enough weight to receive a check to just load up and go home.
3. Your Ramp is open but reasons you should not have the tournament: a. You’re in a Hot Spot
i. If you have anyone in the county or neighboring counties from where you’re holding the tournament, then you’re in a Hot Spot, please cancel your tournament.
ii. Please let me know if you have to cancel
I believe if we use these guidelines and some common sense, we can still have our tournaments and still be within the requirements of the national health authorities. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to give me a call.
Thanks,

Kevin Yeary USA BASSIN 812-276-8043
