Latest News Backwater Cumberland Lake Regional Sunday, October 15, 2017 The Backwater Cumberland Lake Regional was held on Cumberland Lake and featured 49 teams vying for the guaranteed first place prize of $2,500. Fishing on the lake had been tough recently, but Dustin Neat and Mark Wethington figured out the puzzle. The team weighed in 15.19lbs and won by over three pounds. According to the team, who also won the points title for the Backwater Cumberland Lake Division, the fishing was a challenge. "We caught seven keepers all day and it was really a grind. We caught fish throughout the day and were just running and gunning," said Neat. The team focused on 12-15ft of water with jigs and soft plastics. Their bag consisted of a four-pound class fish and several other quality keepers.
