Uncle Sam Bass Winners

The Wisconsin Regional proved to be very profitable for Ryan Lipstreuer and Corey Muhlenbeck. Not only did they take 2nd place, they won big bass and they also hit the mystery weight for the Uncle Sam Big Bass. Their 3.51lb bass was alone worth $1,080 between the big bass prize and $1,000 for matching the Uncle Sam Bass weight.

Corey caught the lucky fish on a frog and said they lost key fish that weighed more. "The bigger fish would have given us the win, but we would have never weighed in the Uncle Sam Bass," he said.

They heard of the Uncle Sam Bass at the meeting prior to the tournament at the meeting and didn't give it a second thought. "We didn't expect a fish of that size to win big bass and definitely didn't think we had a $1,000 fish during the day," he said.

Here are more details on the Uncle Sam Bass:

• Only a team’s biggest bass of the tournament will be eligible for Uncle Sam Bass Challenge.
• $5.00 of each entry will be escrowed into the Uncle Sam Bass Challenge fund.
• Held during all Regionals Tournaments.
• The winner will be the team or teams that matches the exact weight of Uncle Sam Bass.
• If a winner is achieved, payout will be as follows:

1. $1,000 for matching the weight of Uncle Sam Bass
2. Ties: • Uncle Sam Bass Challenge is a weekend challenge (Saturday & Sunday). Winning team could tie with another team from the same event or from a sanctioned event held during the same weekend. All ties will split monies.
3. Must be present to win!!
