Latest News Patoka Lake Regional #1 and #2![]() Monday, September 12, 2016 Each year Patoka Lake hosts two regionals on the same weekend. This year, the same team won them both and took home the $7,500 prize money that was guaranteed for the two events. Jeremy Knepp and BJ Worland live close to the lake and fish many USA Bassin events on the lake. They credit their knowledge of the lake for their wins this year. Here is a recap of how they managed to win two events on the same lake in the same weekend. The first day featured a field of 144 boats. The conditions were rainy, windy and cloudy. "The weather pushed them up shallow," said Knepp. They caught the majority of their fish on crankbaits with some on jigs and soft plastics in around 12 feet of water. Their winning bag weighed 20.18lbs and they won the guaranteed $5,000 for their finish. The Patoka Lake Regional #2 featured a smaller field at 64 boats. It was also much different conditions and the winning team had to slow down in order to get a bite. "We fished the same areas as we did on the first day but were catching them in deeper water between 15-20 feet deep," said Knepp. They caught all of their fish on soft plastics. Even though they only managed four keepers, they were good ones. Their winning bag was 17.97lbs. They won $2,500 for their finish at the second regional. Congrats Jeremy and BJ!
