Sport World Ozarks MO Regional

Lake of the Ozarks was the location of the Sport World Lake of Ozarks Missouri Regional. It ended up being a close event as the team of Jim and Glen Young edged out Bonnett and Miller by less than a pound. 

The winners had a two day total of 32.73lbs, 12.59lbs on the first day and a massive 20.14lbs on the second day with a 6.80lb kicker.

Second place was Chuck Bonnett III and Greg Miller with a two day total of 32.09lbs. Like the winners they had a great second day, a 19.25lb bag to go with their 12.84lbs from the first day. According to the team they caught almost twice as many keepers the second day. "We changed locations completely, probably a 30 mile swing from where we were the second day. We had a limit by around 9:30 and then it slowed down," said Bonnett III. He credited a change in color for his creature bait for the bite resuming after it slowed. "It went dead and then we switched colors and started catching them again," he said.

Third place was Rick Fishback and Denny Carver with a two day total of 30.98lbs. They had solid days each day, with weights of 15.82lbs and 15.16lbs. "We had a good one each day around five pounds and the rest were just solid keepers. We caught most of them on topwaters and also flipping," said Carver. They stayed in the same general area during the entire event and it paid off with a third place finish.
