Latest News Lucas Oil Lake Monroe Open Friday, August 07, 2015 Rex Remington and his cousin Dean Remington fish Lake Monroe for several different regions with USA Bassin. They have had success over the years and they knew enough about the lake that Rex was able to fish by himself at the Lucas Oil Lake Monroe Open and take the win while Dean was away on business. Even though Rex only caught three fish during the event, they were great quality and he won the event by almost five pound over Hargis/Hargis (4fish, 9.85lbs) and Cassetty/Cassetty (5 fish for 8.57lbs). Remington also had the big bass of the event at 5.44lbs and had another that was nearly as big. When asked about his approach for the event, he said he chose to target big fish locations and it paid off. "The fishing has been really tough with the high water we have had and I focused on areas where big fish live. I had those three by 9:30 am and then had nothing after that," added Remington. Congrats to Rex Remington for taking the win and thanks to all who fished the Lucas Oil Lake Monroe Open.
