Port Of Jasper Patoka Regional #1

Kenneth and Kelly Ingle, the father and son duo won the Port of Jasper Patoka Lake Regional #1. They had a total weight of 19.07 to win top honors in the field of 135 boats. They caught a total of eight keepers and spread them out over the day. "We had three bass in the first hour but then it slowed down until the weather changed. We caught them good from 12:30 all the way until around 3:45 and the fish were all good fish," added the younger Ingle. Kelly Ingle was using a carolina-rigged worm for his early success and if not for a bait change for Kenneth, they might not have had the winning bag. "I used every single rod in my side of the rod locker and even one of my dad's rods, I threw everything I had at them. Once I switched to a 3/4oz Strike King spinnerbait in the sexy shad color I started catching them," added Ingle.

Second Place was Jon Holloway and Jim Vanzo who had a limit weighing 18.99lbs. "The day went really well, but it started out slow. Once the clouds and wind came in around 10:00 we started catching them," said Holloway. The team started catching fish and the quality increased throughout the day. "I have been fishing this same event for years and this was the first time I weighed in a limit here, it was a great day," added Holloway.

The third place team of David Bruck and Jefferson Jackson went into the event just trying to qualify for the nationals. "Once we started catching some good fish, we started to think we had a chance to get a check. By around 10:00 we already had close to 15lbs," said Bruck. They ended up culling again later in the day to increase to 17.42lbs. They caught their fish on reaction baits.
