Latest News C&O Marine Old Hickory Regional Thursday, September 11, 2014 The C&O Marine Old Hickory Regional was held on September 6th and featured nearly 120 boats from throughout Tennessee and the surrounding states. The fishing proved to be difficult for some of the top finishers in terms of quality, but what they lacked in numbers they made up for in size. Taking first was the team of Clint Huntsman and Chad Walker who weighed in a limit for 15.18lbs with a 4.42lb big bass. "We only caught five keepers all day," said Huntsman. The five they caught were all quality fish and every one of them came from one stretch of river channel that was maybe 100 yards long. "We made a couple quick stops in the morning, but from 9:30 until the weighin, we fished that same stretch over and over," added Huntsman. The team caught their fish using a 3/4oz football jig. Second place was Kyle and Robin Eady who weighed in 14.81lbs. Amazingly, the team had never been on the lake prior to the prefish day. During the event, the team caught nine keepers by flipping shallow laydowns with Reebs lures soft plastics and Neccessity Jigs. They also caught some suspended fish on a Cool Baits Underspin.The team is also sponsored by Bass King Clothing. Third Place was the team of Josh Price and Eric Silverstim who had a limit weighing 13.78lbs. Congrats to all of the top teams!
