Latest News Southern Indiana Regional![]() Monday, September 17, 2012 September 16, 2012– A full field of 178 teams took to Patoka Lake today. The fishing was excellent with several good weights and many limits brought to the scales. Less than one pound separated the top four teams.
Cousins Drew and Pat Lambert figured out the deep water bite on Patoka and were able to bring in 18.78lbs to the scales. Their bag was anchored by a 5.69lb largemouth. Drew Lambert added "We didn't catch many fish but we got the right ones. We were using a custom 11inch worm made by Bauer's Custom Baits that is Green Pumpkin with Green Flake." He reports that they did not catch many, but all of their fish were good quality. The team wanted to thank their sponsor Artesian Outdoors for their support.
Second Place was the Father/Son Duo of Kelly and Kenneth Ingle who brought in a limit weighing 18.24lbs. They caught their fish all day and went through approximately 15 fish to get their final weight. Their top producing technique was fishing popping frogs on matted vegetation. They won an additional $500 and $600 as part of the Tournament Rewards program and for being the highest finishing Nitro boat owners in the tournament.
Third Place was Kris and Shelli Effinger who brought in a limit weighing 18.13lbs. They caught their fish on rocks and wood in 8-10ft deep. They fished soft plastics to catch a total of six keepers all day. Their bag also included a 5.51lb fish. Team Effinger would like to thank Shimano, G-Loomis, Sunline and American Legacy Fishing Company.
