USA BASSIN 2012 Co-ED Classic

USA BASSIN 2012 Co-ED Classic

Monday, July 16, 2012

Mid June would bring about some of the hottest weather on record. The USA BASSIN Co-Ed Classic held on Kentucky lake, would bring together some of the hottest bass fishing couples in the nation.
The USA BASSIN Co-Ed Classic has grown every year. With the help of directors from a tri state area the Co-Ed trail has shown an increase in teams each year. After qualifying in 2011 male and female teams from across the area assembled on Kentucky Dam Marina for the 2012 Co-Ed Classic mid-week this year.
At 6:30am tournament Director John Newton gave the call by number to take off. The day one weigh-in would leave Doc and Marilyn Miller on top of the leader board with 18.82. One of the five brought in by team Miller would be a 5.58 largemouth and claim big bass of the day. Exactly one pound behind the Miller team was Jay and Shari Holsapple with 17.82lbs. Herbie and Connie Bouher would sit in the third position with a 13.76 limit.
In reverse order the teams left the next morning and when day two came to a close again Doc and Marilyn Miller brought a nice limit of Largemouth in weighing 17.30lbs for a two day total of 36.12lbs. The Holsapple team of Jay and Shari continued to catch good limits of fish for two days and combined a total of 33.95lbs to claim the second place prize of the 2012 Co-Ed Classic. The hard chargers of the USA BASSIN Co-Ed Classic were Robertina and John (Butch) Freeman. The two caught solid limits of fish each day and moved from sixth on day one up to the third place spot by the end of day two weigh-in with a total of 25.98. Big Bass for day two would belong to Larry Bailey and Tammy Freeman with a 4.81 largemouth.
The 2012 USA BASSIN Co-Ed Classic will be held on Rough River Lake, KY October 20 & 21.Click Here for a link to the 2012 USA BASSIN Co-Ed Classic information.
