Wave Baits

Wave Baits

Tuesday, March 27, 2012

The upcoming 2012 season USA BASSIN has gained another new sponsor Wave Fishing. The fishing industry for the past ten years has enjoyed the success of the baits produced by Wave Fishing. Since starting over a decade ago, Wave Fishing has developed incredibly effective and completely dynamic baits for both freshwater and saltwater Anglers. The company reorganized in 2008 and under the direction of President Paul Whitman Jr. Wave Fishing has rebounded into an industry leader once again.
Tiki-Stick the company’s first lure has been popular among anglers since the start of Wave Fishing. After reorganization Paul and his team at Wave Fishing felt they should go back to the bait that brought them to a global company status.  Now the company has taken the successful bait a step further with the introduction of the New Super Soft Pro Series. The Super Soft Tiki-Stick features a softer, heavier plastic that holds twice the salt content of most lures but still leaves room for plenty of MoLoPo fish attracting scent used by Wave. We wanted a plastic that felt natural to the fish but at the same time would cast farther and with greater accuracy, says bass angler, lure designer and company President, Paul Whitman Jr. We finally found the formula that met our standards and, more importantly, the standards of our anglers." Super Soft Pro is available in the 5-inch Tiki-Stick model and in the top six fish catching colors Black Blue Flake, Pumpkin Black & Purple Flake, Watermelon Red Flake, Christmas tree, Laminated Smoke Shad and Green Pumpkin.
Wave baits are also noted for other outstanding performers in the bait building business. In the February 2012 addition of Bassmaster Magazine in an article written by Senior Writer Don Wirth titled “5 Tactics for Wallhanger Smallmouth he mentioned Wave. Wirth felt during late summer through midfall where long stretches of 25-35 foot of water in major rivers a Carolina Rig cast upstream was a solid approach to a wallhanger smallmouth. Don went on to say that small creature baits like Wave’s Tiki Monkey in realistic baitfish and crawfish colors was an excellent selection.
