The Alabama Rig and USA BASSIN

The Alabama Rig and USA BASSIN

Sunday, January 15, 2012

With the overwhelming popularity of the Alabama Rig, it is going to be important to the angler to know how each state looks at the legality of this lure and as I type this article many states are talking about this bait and what to do about it.

USA BASSIN is getting many phone calls on this topic and if we are allowing this lure to be used in divisional tournaments and especially the Tracker Cup and Nitro Classics that are just a few short weeks away.

As it stands USA BASSIN is for now honoring each states ruling on this lure and has not made a move to ban it in any of our tournaments, however we are watching this very closely and will take action state by state if needed and make special rulings on the use of this bait, so again be sure you know the law in each state you are fishing in and this should go for all the rules and not just the Alabama Rig.

For now this is our stand on the ever so controversial debate of weather this lure is legal or ethical and USA BASSIN is working very hard to keep all our anglers up to date on all the latest events and rulings to insure that you have a great fishing experience with us and are safe and legal while doing so.
