KIN-O1 Hoosier Division Champion

This year, the Jackson Kayak Trails, Hoosier, decided to shake things up with the tourney schedule. They wanted to keep the anglers guessing all season long, and boy, did they succeed! With three different champs and a leaderboard that changed constantly, everything came down to the final showdown.

As the last event at Tucker Lake approached, Sam Jones held a slim 2-point lead over Wyatt Gard. Both knew it was going to be a real nail-biter, with every single fish counting—including those caught by their rivals, which could totally change who came out on top.

When it was all said and done, Wyatt only managed to cut the gap by 1 point, leaving Sam victorious as the Division Champ by a hair.

Sam had to climb to victory though, especially since Wyatt started the season off like a rocket. But Sam turned things around in the third tournament, then kept the momentum going to snag the points lead.

Here’s how Sam's journey to the Hoosier Division Champion looked:

- 4/20 at Patoka Lake: 2nd place

- 5/18 at Monroe Lake: 2nd place

- 6/15 at Bass Lake: 1st place

- 7/20 at Dogwood Lake: 1st place

- 8/17 at Tucker Lake: 3rd place

With his win, Sam now qualifies for the Land Big Fish Tournament of Champions, which will run alongside the Jackson Kayak Classic on Kentucky Lake.
