Latest News Waveland Lake is still producing![]() Monday, November 28, 2011 Waveland Lake has continuously produced great stringers of bass nearly the entire year. The last fall division tournament on Waveland was no exception. Rick Ingram directed a full field of bassin teams almost all year. Damon Tingle and Bill Polson had the honey hole that produced the winning bag for the final tournament of the season. The team of Tingle and Polson were able to capture a very close... point’s race for the Waveland fall division championship between Ronnie Flowers and Travis Clemen. In an interview with Tingle he said the first hour he felt he had an honest 18 pounds in the boat and all fish came from the same brush pile. Our performance did not go unnoticed Damon said with a laugh. IU and Purdue fishing teams were nearby practicing for an upcoming tournament between the two schools for the prize of the Old Minnow Bucket. The two teams observed respectfully according to Tingle. A half ounce football jig was the bait that gave him the winning limit. Half ounce seemed to be what they wanted throughout day he said. As time was running out Damon told his partner that he was going to move up to a three quarter ounce and catch the big one. He said “I did it with the very next cast on the same spot and allowed us to cull up in weight”. Damon was able to catch big bass for the tournament with a 7.43 Waveland largemouth on that cast. The two Bassin anglers brought in a total of 21.46 pounds to clench the division title. Tingle is no stranger to division championships. He has a 2010 championship title on Lake Lemon and could have won this year’s title with show up points alone. However, due to a family commitment he was unable to fish the last tournament of the year. Tingle has also won a title on Raccoon Lake. Tingle has fish USA Bassin now for three years. Director Ingram would like to thank all of those who fished the Waveland Fall division. Waveland Lake is a great fishery but you have to get your entry fees in early the tournaments are limited to 22 boats and fill up quickly. Rick says there are a few spots currently open for the spring division that will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Fall division points will be counted toward the 2012 season.
