Latest News Eastern Tennessee Regional Monday, November 13, 2023 The Eastern Tennessee Regional was won by Kevin Powers on Cherokee Lake the last weekend of October. The fishing was tough, but they got the job done with 9.25 pounds. "The day started slowly with small fish only wanting buzzbaits and Zara Ppooks over shallow rocks," said Powers. "We moved up lake and started fishing deeper bluff banks and caught keeper spotted bass on 1/8oz hair jig." From there, they made another move and started to upgrade. "We were fishing deep brush with a 1/2oz jig and that produced two really nice largemouths," he said. "Then we moved further up lake to the Malinda Ferry Bridge area and caught the last keeper of the day on a black frog on matted grass around some big boulders." Top 5
