Latest News C&O Marine Kentucky Lake Regional Monday, November 06, 2023 The C&O Marine Kentucky Lake Regional was held the last weekend of October out of Paris Landing. Taking the win, while fishing solo, was Justin Berger who landed 21.52lbs. "My regular partner Cody Santel was up north deer hunting, so we knew in advance that I'd be by myself for this one," he said. "The day started slow and I didn't catch my first fish until around 9:00 on a topwater." After a sluggish start to the day, Berger got moving and estimates that he hit 30 to 35 spots, targeting deeper places and brushpiles. "I was hopping around, hitting points, brush, and anything that looked good," he said. "It was basic fall fishing. At one spot, I caught a 5.76 lb largemouth (the tournament's big bass) and then a nice smallmouth on back-to-back casts." In total, he had eight keeper bites and landed seven of them. "They were all smallmouth except for that big largemouth and I was really lucky to land that many of them fishing by myself," he said. Top 5
