Sticking a fish in practice is normally not something someone would practice. However, USA Bassin’ has made this very tempting. May 1st 2012 USA Bassin’ will hold a Mystery Bass Tournament worth over $20,000 in prize money. The Bassin’ Classic is the weekend following this event and what a better way to turn that big bite during practice into a prize. The tournament will take place on Kentucky and Barkley Lakes.

The ramp site will be the Kentucky Dam Marina from 6am to 3pm for the one fish per team event. Anglers will pay 30 dollars and may pre-register or pay the morning of the tournament. The Mystery Bass tournament registration will start at 4am Tuesday May 1st 2012. Bassin’ teams that finished in 2011 with 150 or more points are eligible to participate. The tournament will be limited to the first 200 teams.

The winner of the Mystery Bass Tournament will be the first team to match the exact weight of the Mystery Fish. (NO TIES). The species of fish allowed to be weighted in will be Largemouth Bass only. Eligible locations the fish may be caught is Kentucky or Barkley Lakes only. 

Catching the exact weight of the mystery fish will net the winner $10,000. An additional $5,000 dollars will be awarded the winning team if the fish is caught in a TRACKER or Nitro boat. Bassin’ teams that catch the winning fish and own USA BASSIN’ apparel will receive $2,500 in additional prize money. USA Bassin’ apparel can be purchased online. $ 2,500 will also be awarded to the winner of the Mystery Bass Tournament if the team owns a USA Bassin’ Rod.
