Latest News South Dakota Regional Tuesday, September 19, 2023 The South Dakota Regional was held on Big Stone Lake on September 17th and kicked out the solid weights the lake is known for. Taking the top prize was the father/daughter duo of Harry and Izabella Ladner with a limit weighing 21.17lbs. The win marks their first regional victory after many regular season wins for Harry, who fishes with his 14-year-old daughter, who's quite the accomplished angler herself with two trips to the TBF National Championship. "We've been trying to win a regional for a few years now and the conditions lined up for us," Harry said. "I was waiting for the right conditions and felt good when we left the house that I'd be able to run a certain pattern with the bright and calm day." Their day started a little slow as they struck out at their first two spots, cycling through secondary points. "We kept running them and then had a limit in 10 minutes that went 17 or 18 pounds," he said. "Then we reversed and went back through the areas and were able to cull up to our weight fishing a 1/2-ounce green pumpkin jig with a green pumpkin trailer." Top 5
