IN-13 division close race for the championship

IN-13 division close race for the championship

Thursday, July 07, 2011

IN-13 Division Patoka Lake Wednesday Night tournament on June 6, 2011 was nothing but great for Rick Andis and Chris Peek. The two managed to boat a 6.29 largemouth to take home the prize of Big Bass. Andis and Peek was also able to catch the only limit of the tournament with a total of 19.68lbs. The sack of largemouth was big enough to win by over 7 lbs over against second place Mc Daniels and Betz. Patoka lake since the spawn has been a somewhat difficult to find the large post spawn females. Three other teams had only 3 fish battling it out for second place with only .05 ounces between them. The point’s race between teams in the IN-13 Division is a close one as well. Several teams are within 50 points of the divisional championship title.
Week day tournaments offer a chance to fish waters that are not so crowded by pleasure boater. Bass are not pressured by as many fishermen and therefore will explore new habitat. Week day and night tournament will present fishing areas that on weekends would never produce fish. USA Bassin’ has several night and weekday tournaments that will allow you points to advance to regional tournaments. With children’s sports and family obligations it is often hard for some anglers to fish a weekend tournament. Week day and Night tournaments may present an alternative to the weekend tourney’s and allow you to acquire the points needed to advance toward regional competition.
Divisions across the country are winding down the last few tournament of the season. The Staff at USA Bassin wants to wish each and every angler the best of luck in their quest for a divisional title. Regional’s are all listed on the homepage of the Bassin’ website and contact information can be found there. Remember it only takes 250 points on the National trail to qualify for regional status. Contact your regional director to find out when they will be accepting entries for these events.
