Latest News Next Generation's newest Classic prize![]() Wednesday, December 15, 2010 American College of Barbering of Louisville Kentucky owned by Joshua and Cynthia Fackler has announced they will be donating a scholarship to the Next Generation Classic to be held on Douglas Lake June, 11 2011. The scholarship will consist of $7,200 in tuition and $500 toward tools and equipment. The Scholarship will be valid for one year from the date of high school graduation. Accredited by the State of Kentucky Board of Barbering the Louisville school has been operating now for over 2 years with a new state of the art barbering facility.
With over 10 American Colleges of Barbering, Fackler’s school ranks among the top three. Joshua and Cynthia graduate over 85% of the students that enroll in the College. Depending on the time of year one tries to enroll, your wait could be as much as six months to be placed in a class. The waiting list is a testament of the success of the college. Fackler was quick to point out to me that this is not just a school for men. ACB is completely trained in the latest styles and color for hair also.
Joshua and Cynthia Fackler are true ambassadors of the sport of Bass fishing. Josh along with being an instructor and owner is a sponsored tournament bass angler. Sponsored by Phoenix Boats and Mercury Marine Josh has fished the Renegade division of USA Bassin’ for the past few years. His wife is no stranger to a bait caster her father was a tournament angler and taught her well. Josh recalls first discovering her talent when he signed up to fish a tournament with Cynthia. He told of how he expected that Cynthia would lay out and sun on the boat during the tournament and they would enjoy quality time together.
When they arrived at the first spot he said “she picked up a bait caster and pitched it like a pro”. She caught a few fish that day and got her sun tanning in. Josh however was not as lucky to be trained by his father. When Josh was only four years old his father passed away. Fackler picked up bass fishing later in life but has taken to it well and I’m sure Dad is looking down with a very proud smile. Josh mentioned to me one of the reasons he became involved with Next Generation was to make a difference in the life of a young man or woman through fishing.
Another reason for Fackler’s involvement was John Lancaster a director for Bassin. Josh went on to say that Lancaster was there to answer questions, take care of points problems, and always ran a fair tournament division. Josh said that John treated everyone like winners regardless of how they placed in standings for the tournament.
On June 10th & 11th USA Bassin will hold the first ever Next Generation Classic. The tournament will be held on Douglas Lake. The take off will be from the Douglas Dam Ramp at 6:30 AM. Joe *****mings of Seymour Tennessee will be the tournament director. Registration hours are from 3pm till 6pm June 9th at the Sevierville Bass Pro Shop. A pre tournament meeting will begin at 6:00pm and boat numbers will be drawn the same day. If you have qualified for the Next Generation tournament and have now sent in your entry please do so ASAP.
