Latest News Bass Cat Silver Cup Winners Tuesday, April 27, 2021 When the dust settled at the Bass Cat Silver Cup on Chickamauga Lake in Tennessee, the father and son duo of Josh and Richard Tyner claimed the win and took home a brand new Bass Cat Margay Boat with a 150hp Mercury outboard. The Indiana team remained consistent both days as they ended up with a two day total of 35.34lbs. On the first day, they brought in 17.93 with a 4.87 big bass, to land them in third place after the day. On the second day, they had a limit weighing 17.41lbs with a 5.27lb big bass. Their consistency was thanks to sticking it out and dissecting an area they had found for all it was worth. "It was a slower bite and the only way we could catch them was to soak a tube in the laydowns," the team said. "We fished one confined area with some scattered wood and stayed there the whole tournament. Each day they landed six keepers, culling one time each day." The two bags in the 17-pound range consisted of all solid keepers without a Chickamauga giant that the lake is known for. "We had some around five pounds but most were solid keepers," they said. "It was a tough bite and the cold front really killed the spinnerbait bite we had going. It's pretty cool that we came down here and won it, this is an interesting lake." Top 5
