C-Land Lake KY Divisional Champions 2010

The KY-17 Lake C-Land Division had its last tournament on May 16, 2010.

The team of Drew Sadler / Brian Richmond won the Divisional Points Championship.

Team Sadler/Richmond racked up some impressive numbers with 21 bass caught for a total weight of 66.15lbs and a 6.88lb big bass to take the win. They won the championship over runner up team Barry Strunk / Adam Frye by 17pts.

“It was great to win the Divisional Points Championship this year! It was especially great due to the caliber of anglers we fished against all year long. Our fishing this year boiled down to a lot of hard work. We fished more new areas and techniques rather than areas we did well at in the past. We really followed our gut instinct to try different areas. It also is a huge help to have a partner who helps in making the right decisions when the fish aren’t biting. We work well together as a team. We feed off each others energy and stay motivated. I have confidence in the decisions my partner makes.

We are defiantly looking forward to fishing the Regionals. We haven’t decided which Regional to fish just yet, but Yatesville and Douglas Lake are possibilities.

We really like how the U.S.A. Bassin format is setup; being able to fish the same lake and not have to travel long distances to fish. The tournaments are well run, and it is great to have the choice of fishing any Regional you want.

We both would like to thank Angler’s Outpost & Marine for all their help this year. They were very helpful with parts needed for the trolling motor and any other problems or questions we had.”

By winning the Divisional Points Championship title the team will now compete at the Regionals against the other Divisional Champs. The top Divisional Champion at the Regionals will be crowned Regional Points Champions and move on to compete against the other Regional Points Champions at the Classic. The top Regional Points Champion will be crowned National Points Champions and receive a bonus of $5,000!
