Director's Classic

The annual Director's Classic was held on Lake Monroe on August 30th. The event featured 30 teams vying for a 100% payback that included a top prize of $5,000.

Taking the win and bragging rights was James Shipley and Charles Cross. Shipley is the director of the IN-10 Lake Monroe Saturday Night Division and also competes in the Thursday night division. Their knowledge of the lake paid off as they brought in 16.05lbs that included the tournament's big bass, a 5.42lb fish.

"We caught about ten keepers and about that many short fish," said Shipley who reported that they caught fish throughout the day. "We were dragging plastics in five to ten feet of water."
