Director's Classic Champions

The Director's Classic was held this past weekend on Monroe out of the Cutright Ramp and featured 30 teams vying for the $5,000 top prize.

Jeremy Knepp and BJ Worland brought in a solid limit weighing 19.76lbs for the win. They categorized the day as slow but added that they were fortunate to get a few good bites.

"It wasn't 'lights out' and it was pretty tough fishing but we found four of the right ones," said Worland. Their bag included a big fish of 4.75lbs.

The biggest key they said was fishing slow and methodically. "We targeted shallow points in less than ten feet of water. The better ones had some rock on them," he said. "We caught them with plastics and fished very slow on the bottom."
