Latest News Introducing Three Next Generation Divisions![]() Tuesday, December 29, 2009 Three Next Generation divisions are set and ready for the 2010 season. All dates, times, locations, contact information can be found under the divisional links on the USA Bassin home page. Two of the divisions are in the state of Indiana and one is in Kentucky. Get with your youth partner, check the divisional page out, and make plans to fish with USA Bassin-The Next Generation this coming season. I would recommend that you contact the director of the division you plan to fish and share with him your interest. Feel free to ask questions.
Steve Hanson is the director of the Monroe Next Generation Division. All tournaments will go out of the Cutright ramp. The tournaments are planned to start at safe light and run for six hours. Steve is excited about getting kids out on the lake for some fishing and he has set up some cool things for this division. There are plans to have a hotdog cook-out at the first tournament. Nemier Lures is furnishing t-shirts for the anglers and more plans are in the works for this division.
Mason Fleetwood is the director of the John Hay Next Generation Division. John Hay Lake is located approximately 10 miles north of Salem, IN. John Hay is 210 acres and is an Electric motor only lake. Look for some good bass to be weight in at John Hay.
Johnny Lancaster is the director of the Ken-Bar Next Generation Division. Two tournaments will be on Kentucky Lake going out of Ken-Bar Resort and three tournaments will be on Barkley Lake going out of Kuttawa Lyon Resort. Johnny talked about the great opportunity that USA Bassin has for the winner at The Next Generation Classic. There will be a Scholarship given to the winner. I like the quote Johnny shared with me. “Take a child hunting or fishing and you probably won’t have to hunt or catch your child doing the wrong things”
These are the first three Next Generation Divisions of more to come. If you have an interest in getting a division started up contact the USA Bassin Director of that lake or contact USA Bassin if you have a new lake you would like to start a division on.
