Clinton County Tourism is one of the sponsors for the McKay Auto Parts Carlyle Lake Regional which paid out a guaranteed $5,000 for the winners! They have plenty of great things to do in their county and we are happy to be associated with them.

There are plenty of things to do there, besides fishing.

Clinton County is most known for being the home to Carlyle Lake, the largest man-made lake in Illinois.

Carlyle Lake is the gem of the county, consisting of 26,000 acres of water and providing numerous opportunities for recreational activities. Spend the day on the lake fishing, sailing, or boating. There are marinas located around the lake. The lake is home to catfish, bluegill, crappie, flatheads, white bass, and largemouth bass. Scenic hiking and biking trails offer yet another way to experience the Carlyle Lake area. With many nearby parks where you can enjoy other things to do, such as picnics and sporting events, Carlyle Lake is also the perfect destination for family vacations and reunions.
