Rend Lake Regional

The Rend Lake Regional was held on September 9th and featured a guaranteed first place prize of $5,000. Taking the win was the father and son team of Lonnie and Jordan Bowlin with 17.41lbs. The duo won the first place prize as well as big fish and also took home an additional $1,000 for being Ranger Cup qualified.

The team reported that they were targeting shallow and clear water with plastics and spinnerbaits. "With so much rain lately we tried to find the cleanest water and with the rising water it pushed the shad back into the area we were fishing. Jordan caught two right away and we filled out our limit around 1:00," said Lonnie Bowlin. "We stayed in that area and with about five minutes to go I caught the big one." The big bass weighed 5.95lbs and sealed the win for them.
